Imperative verbs Use Imperative verbs to tell someone to do something.

In the last dialogue, Fernando tells Ligia to “Open the book to page fifteen.” “Open” is an imperative. This is a way to tell someone to do something.

An Imperative is a BASE VERB that comes before an OBJECT. Look at the examples below.

Write three sentences using the following imperatives with the objects next to them.
