10 – Pronunciation: Reductions in Spoken English

As you learned in Part 1 of this unit, Americans reduce some expressions of advice that contain the preposition “to”.

You’ve seen the reductions made with “have to”, “ought to” and “have got to”. Americans also make similar reductions with “has to” and “has got to”.
