6 – Building Terms & Expressions: Showing Anger

You’ve learned two idioms in this unit that show a feeling or expression of anger: “to have a fit” and “to hit the roof.” These idioms can be a little tricky to use. “To have a fit” can mean both to display extreme anger or worry privately or in public, but “to hit the roof” is generally used for a loud, very public display of anger.
